Special painter, Mary Cassatt tribute. (It's her birthday today)
In the book "The Shack", when Mack was given the choice to go be with his daughter in Heaven or return back home with his family, he asked, "Is what I do back home important? Does it really matter?" Sarayu gave this response: "If anything matters, then everything matters. Because you are important (to God), everything you do is important. Every time you forgive, the universe changes; every time you reach out and touch a heart or a life, the world changes; with every kindness and service, seen or unseen, my purposes are accomplished and nothing will ever be the same again."
Gerri Wright (formerly of Reunion) posted this and I appropriated it from her Facebook page:
Gerri also shared this poem with me many years ago: I will ask her if I can post it here: Birth Pains by Gerri Wright
J&I spent most of the day in Chicago with our Charm family and their guest. As you can imagine, lots of talk, lots of walking, lots of pictures. ... and a little photoshop. I lost the poster that I bought .. but it was only an idea anyway. Here is my first try at an imitation. (It's a rollover .. the original photo is on the bottom) -- here's my second: Starry City
Jack has a new blog! You will always be able to access it on the dropdown menu at the top left (Boys > Jack)
These birds were in our backyard this morning. Male and female cardinal and the violet bunting.
I have stories to tell with the slideshow about last month. Denice and Jaynie's birthday visit in Charm (surprise, breakfast, shopping, buffet lunch, shopping, strawberry cake, JavaJoe's) and Jerren's birthday visit (soccer, baseball, food shopping, Fancy Nancy, Prom photos, clothes shopping, steak eating, visiting with my sister, with my aunt, Kingwood center)... and photos of most of it -- which may have to wait until tomorrow (1:43 am now). I think I'm going to have to buy more space, too.
