June 27: Jess: This one's for you. (sometimes I forget about the easy way)
June 26:
Slide show of a day, learning a new skill: Doing nothing. (rollover image)
After spending the day doing "nothing" -- Jim and I went to the Park District's Starry Nights concert: Doo Wop Spectacular (Terry Johnson’s Flamingos, The Eldorados, and the Magnificents. See The slides at the top.
June 18:
Too cute not to share. Click on it for a rollover treat.
June 17: (Day 12) Well, the final report is in. I have a crushed tibia. ... probably about 8 wks in a cast of some sort or another and then therapy. I have a cast up to my mid-thigh. I can only work if I can get there -- but I'm not allowed to drive. absolutely NO weight on my leg. ever. and don't get the cast wet.
And I just now (10:36 pm) figured out how I'm going to deal with all this stuff! You ready?! Here's the plan:
Yep! Day 12 and I just figured it out. I could cry! I never had a crushed knee before and now I do! I'm going to celebrate every day. Wahoo! So now, to celebrate maximum swelling from sitting at the computer, I'm going to go to bed. Night, night.
Now that I have a diagnosis I will post the journey of my bike fall. (I'll tell that story another day) Here's my recovery story.
June 16: My Leg Story: Day 11: I had my mri last night at 9 pm (first available). I got a phone call from my doctor this afternoon. He told me my knee was broken/fractured (I'm trying to swim through my shock and irritation to remember what he said) and that is why it is still hurting. He said he wasn't certain a cast would be enough and that I should call an orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible (which will be tomorrow morning because he called after the clinic was closed) That's all I know. ... As you all know I got an xray at the Galion Hospital. They said nothing was broken, see an orthopedic doctor on Monday back in Illinois. I called the orthopedic doctor on Monday and got them up to speed and asked if I could schedule an appointment as it was suggested that I do.. They said it was much more complicated than that and I had to see my PCP (Primary Care Physician) first. The PCP requested my records from Galion Hospital be faxed so I gotterdone. They got the records and let me schedule an appt. So
Which bring us to Day 11 which you already know. Aren't you glad I saved you the suspense of knowing what was going to happen?
OK, well, that's all. Clinic opens at 8:30 tomorrow ..
Doctors make me sick.
June 16: I did some photo cropping. Nothing to show yet. At least not of my stuff. Everyonce in a while something shows up worth posting; Watch this.

June 14: Where oh where did my good intentions go ... hellO! Ohio, NOLA, Ohio, Fractured rib, MRI, medications, sleeping, working, going home, but none of the usual -- no cooking, cleaning, laundry -- just nausea, lethargy, etc etc. Jerry said, "this is worse than being pregnant, isn't it?" I would have never thought of that comparison but he's right -- I don't get to have a baby when it's all over. Maybe I can just walk again. OK, enough, enough .. now I'm going to go into my 'chives and see what I can scare up.
