[August 20] What a day! Taylor went to College. Brent got a job offer. Aaron interviewed for a new job. Jack went to Kindergarten. Adam started a new job. Sara and I started a new semester working (Sara is back in school this fall, also, but doesn't start till Monday), Jerry and Jim took care of everything else.

As J, J, Aaron & I reviewed the day, Jerry said, "so this is a day filled with good news." Aaron said, "No, I don't like days like this." I laughed. Reminded me of what my mother used to say on a particularly good day: "This, too, shall pass."

I discovered a new way to scrapbook. Pictures, pictures, pictures. Adam's sunflowers, The Street Benches at Tinley, Flower (same place), Sara and Bella.

[August 18] Sara's birthday!

[August 12] Adam read "If Mama Sang" and now Gina is reading it. Get on the band wagon! (Vanessa read it for a book report at school last year.)

[August 11] Just spend 2:57 with David Wilcox.

[August 10] Fun!

[August 6 1:42am] Playing with the computer again ... here's Rachel. This is a definite stumble upon. Goodnight. ..Later that evening: Grim Reaper Sweepstakes. This song makes me laugh. It's so ME!!!

[August 5] The storms came again. Viscious winds and more lightening than I can recall ever seeing before. The smell of ozone was strong. Read about some of it here. We had electricity through the whole thing but most didn't. Griffith (where family live) actually had a tornado. Two of the new babies were held in their mother's arms in the (same) hospital while waiting out a "code black" because of severe weather threats. Lots of folks didn't show up for work today because of storm damage and cleanup.

Anybody want to talk about "The Shack", yet?

[August 4] More baby news. Gina's sister had a baby (girl) yesterday, too. AND so did another friend of ours, Tammy (baby boy). Hope to add them to the page as well.

[August 3 1:15 am] - awaiting a friend's grand baby! 2:23 am .. She's here! (photos soon). Later -- that same day...we went to the beach, to defrag the hardrives with friends.

[August 2] I found a photo that I took of some beautiful flowers I got for a special occasion some time ago (5/28/05). I was inspired (wish I had a "before" photo) to make it look that good again.

I have been going through my digital photos. This month's slide show displays some (25) that I culled (825) from my collection (thousands!).

[August 1] - Oh my goodness! August is here!

Photo find: This was taken in a garden in Naperville one year when we went to see a Civil War Reenactment there. I "plucked" it from the garden for display here.

I found this photo as I was browsing: Click on it to dive into the discussion. [Disclaimer: This is not meant to be THE SHACK, this is just a photo I took somewhere in time.]
