11/29/08 - Break out the scrolling font! Sara Hazlett and Aaron Bishop have become engaged to be married. I just talked to Sara to see how she and Aaron wanted to announce their news on this site. We already have some funny stories: He called his mom to tell her the news. After saying he and Sara were engaged he said, "You are going to be a grandma." Sara suggested he tell her he was referring only to Rhiannon. I'm still laughing (with embarassment) at my reaction. I kept hearing myself say, "Oh, Thank you. Thank you." I was referring to thank you for telling us. Congratulations, you two. We are happy for you. They are planning a fall wedding.
11/25/08 - Thanksgiving is two days past. We have enjoyed leftovers and still have a bit of the 38 lbs of turkey left. :-) (See the blog for THAT story). I linked the photo below (my favorite from the day) to the TG slideshow (click on the photo).
We wish you a happy thanksgiving ...
I have decided to do some serious cleaning and sorting today so the videos of TG will have to wait for another day.
11/23/08 - Time to get ready for the U.S. Thanksgiving Holiday. We'll be having our tradition fare: Turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed sweet and Idaho potatoes, green bean casserole, bread, hash brown casserole, strawberry pretzel salad, brocolli salad, corn, and cranberry juice followed by Pumpkin Pie and/or something else.
We will be grateful for those who are here, miss those who can't visit this year, sad for those who have gone forever, and joy for all the Thanksgivings past that have given us such binding/bonding grateful memories.
Share your photos with me so I can post them.
Jimmy Micheletti will be visiting for Christmas. On the above "extended family" menu (left side) I have updated his page with some of his music he shared with us. Click on the page and enjoy his gift of piano.
11/21/08 - My turn: Practice for a new web feature.... slideshow by lightbox.
Veteran's Day: 11/11/08 - Thank you to these family members (present and past) for your service to our country.

11/8/08 After dinner, Jim, Jerry. & I went to Caribou to try out their November Jazz Jam. They play on the first Friday but we hadn't heard them yet. Well, here they are .. (we are really looking forward to December Friday) I put some of the photos Jerry and I took with the last song they jammed to.
